Chairs in Each of Kansas’ 105 Counties Highlight Sen. Jerry Moran’s Grassroots SupportAugust 6, 2015
Hays, Kan. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) announced today that his campaign has identified supporters in each Kansas’ 105 counties to serve as county chairs – further highlighting his extensive network of grassroots support.
These Kansans represent a wide array of industries including health care and pharmacy, education, agriculture, aviation, banking, rural development, law, law enforcement, veterans and small business. Additionally, there are more than a dozen former and current local elected officials.
“It has been an honor to support Jerry Moran over the years, both as a congressman and now as our U.S. Senator,” said Johnson County Co-Chair Peggy Dunn. “Jerry is truly connected to the people across the state of Kansas. He spends countless hours reaching out, listening and striving to bring about resolutions to issues when needed.”
Sedgwick County Chair Bob Dool agreed, “Jerry Moran is good for Kansas and good for our country. He represents the interests of Kansas industries including aviation, energy and agriculture. Through his tireless efforts as Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee he was largely responsible for the Republicans taking back the Senate in 2014. Jerry is back in Kansas every weekend engaging with people about their concerns and issues. Because of his warm personality and intellect, he gets things done in the Senate. I am proud to be a part of his re-election team.”
“I am proud to be a part of the Jerry Moran team. Jerry has shown both the integrity and leadership necessary to lead Kansas in the U.S. Senate by fighting for families and fiscal responsibility,” said Shawnee County Chair Joe Patton.
Ellsworth County Chair Mary Soukup added, “Congress is full of men and women who seem all too concerned about personal gain and media attention. With Senator Moran, his concern is on his constituents and his state. And his thoughtful, constructive and steady style of leadership makes him not only a great senator for Kansas but a trusted leader in the United States Congress.”
Last month, Sen. Moran announced that his campaign had received donations from Kansans in each the state’s 105 counties – more than 3,500 individual donations from Kansans this cycle.
